The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is organizing a special religious tour for pilgrims.
The Bharat Gaurav Special Train will start its journey on December 5th from Saharsa, passing through major stations including Samastipur, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, and Pataliputra, before heading to South India.
Pilgrimage Route and Destinations
According to IRCTC, the train journey will continue until December 17. During this time, pilgrims will visit important religious sites, including:
- Tirupati Balaji Temple
- Rameswaram
- Madurai
- Kanyakumari
- Padmanabha Swamy Temple
- Mallikarjuna Temple
Ticket Prices and Classes
The Bharat Gaurav Special Train offers tickets in three categories:
- Budget Class (Sleeper Class): Rs 25,620 per passenger
- Standard Class: Rs 35,440 per passenger
- Comfort Class: Rs 49,175 per passenger
This year, a Second AC coach has also been added to the train for added comfort.

Passengers on this pilgrimage tour will receive several facilities:
- Overnight accommodation in non-air-conditioned hotels
- Vegetarian meals and morning & evening tea
- Bus services for local travel
- Special security arrangements in the train coach
- Deployment of security personnel

Special Discounts and Safety Measures
IRCTC DGM Rajesh Kumar announced that group reservations will receive special discounts.
He emphasized that the pilgrimage aims to provide a safe and convenient religious experience for all devotees.
Officials present at the press conference included Area Managers Pramod Kumar, Munna Kumar, Vijay Kumar, and others.
Senior Supervisor Sanjeev Kumar assured that extra attention will be given to security and medical care to ensure pilgrims can travel with peace of mind.
