Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana: PM Unveils Rojgar Yojana Portal for New Job Seekers

The Central Government has officially started the Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PMVBRY) from today. This scheme aims to create over 3.5 crore new jobs in the next two years, backed by a large budget of ₹1 lakh crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi first announced this scheme during his 12th Independence Day speech at the Red Fort on August 15, 2025. Now, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has launched an online PMVBRY portal to support the rollout.

A Big Step Towards Employment and Development

Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said this scheme is a historic move under the leadership of PM Modi. It not only creates jobs but also ensures job security and dignity for young workers.

When Will the Scheme Apply?

The benefits will apply to new jobs created between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027. The scheme has two parts offering different benefits for employees and employers.

Part A: Benefits for First-Time Employees

  • These benefits are for people joining a job for the first time.

  • Eligible employees will receive a lump sum amount.

  • This amount will be equal to one month’s basic salary + DA (Dearness Allowance), with a maximum limit of ₹15,000.

  • The amount will be paid in two installments.

  • To qualify, the employee’s monthly salary must be under ₹1 lakh.

Part B: Benefits for Employers

  • Companies will get financial support for hiring new workers.

  • For each new employee hired, the employer will get ₹3,000 per month.

  • This support will continue for 2 years in general sectors and for 4 years in the manufacturing sector.

Hiring Rules for Companies

  • If a company has less than 50 employees, it must hire at least 2 new people.

  • If a company has 50 or more employees, it must hire at least 5 new people.

  • The new jobs must last at least 6 months.

All Institutions Can Join

The ministry confirmed that even companies exempt from the EPF & MP Act, 1952 can take part. However, they must:

  • Regularly submit Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR)

  • Create a UAN (Universal Account Number) for all employees

  • Use the UMANG App for registrations and updates
