If you’re planning a trip to Switzerland, one of Europe’s most beautiful countries, it’s important to understand the new Schengen visa rules.
VFS Global, the official visa partner of the Swiss Embassy in India, has made a major update regarding visa applications.
What’s Changed?
VFS Global has issued a new guideline: only the documents listed in the official checklist will be accepted.
Any extra documents, explanations, or additional materials will not be considered during the visa process.
Official Statement
As per the official notice:
“All applicants are informed that only the documents listed in the official checklist for that visa category will be accepted at the Visa Application Center (VAC).”
This means if you’re applying for a tourist Schengen visa, you must submit only the required documents as per VFS Global’s 2025 checklist.
