Support for Four-Wheelers
For electric four-wheelers, the subsidy amount has been set at up to Rs 1 lakh per vehicle.
A substantial allocation of Rs 250 crore has been earmarked by the state government, benefiting approximately 25,000 four-wheeler EVs over the subsidy period.

The Uttar Pradesh government has recently extended the deadline for EV subsidies to 2027. This extension is aimed at sustaining EV demand and providing continued relief to buyers in the state.

Extension of Subsidy till 2027
The Uttar Pradesh government has prolonged the subsidy period for electric vehicles, enabling buyers to avail subsidies until October 2027.
Incentives for E-Buses and Goods Carriers
Additionally, subsidies of Rs 20 lakh per e-bus and Rs 1 lakh per goods carrier EV are also available.
The government has allocated Rs 80 crore for e-buses and Rs 10 crore for goods carriers, supporting the adoption of cleaner transport solutions across Uttar Pradesh.
Subsidy Amounts
Two-Wheelers: A subsidy of Rs 5,000 per vehicle with a provision of Rs 100 crore.
Four-Wheelers: Up to Rs 1 lakh subsidy per vehicle, limited to 25,000 units, supported by Rs 250 crore.
E-Buses: Rs 20 lakh subsidy per bus, with Rs 80 crore allocated, benefiting up to 400 buses.
Goods Carrier EVs: Rs 1 lakh subsidy per vehicle, with Rs 10 crore set aside for 1,000 vehicles.
While the previous policy offering discounts for one year ended in October 2023, these extended subsidies underscore the government’s commitment to fostering a greener automotive future in Uttar Pradesh.
