UP Announces Formation of Outsource Service Corporation

Lucknow: Great news has arrived for outsourced employees in Uttar Pradesh. The state government is planning to create the ‘Uttar Pradesh Outsource Service Corporation’ for them.

Once this corporation is formed, outsourced workers will receive not only a respectable honorarium and improved work conditions but also pension and many other important benefits after retirement.

Pension and Honorarium to Increase

Under this new system, outsourced employees will become eligible for pension after retirement, provided they have worked for at least 10 years.

The pension amount will range from ₹1,000 to ₹7,500. Additionally, the honorarium for more than 4 lakh outsourced employees currently working in the state will be increased. Their contracts will also be renewed automatically once they expire.

Other Major Benefits Along with Pension

Accidental Death Benefit: If an employee loses their life in an accident after completing a minimum of one year of service, their family will receive financial assistance between ₹2.5 lakh to ₹7 lakh.

Free Medical Treatment: Employees and their family members will get free treatment at ESIC hospitals, health centers, and private multi-specialty hospitals registered with ESIC. This includes surgeries and advanced diagnostic services.

Amit Ghosh, Principal Secretary of the Secretariat Administration Department, has confirmed these updates.

He said that after the corporation is set up, honorariums will increase and pension will be provided through the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) after 10 years of service.
