Minister’s Discomfort During Flight

Chouhan was traveling to Delhi to attend a farmers’ fair in Pusa, a Natural Farming Mission meeting in Kurukshetra, and discussions with farmer representatives in Chandigarh.

He boarded Air India flight AI436 from Bhopal and was assigned seat 8C. However, when he sat down, he found the seat to be broken and uncomfortable.

When he informed the cabin crew, they admitted that the airline management was already aware of the issue and that such seats should not have been assigned to passengers.

Chouhan also noticed that several other seats on the flight were in poor condition.

Although fellow passengers offered to switch seats with him, he chose to complete his journey in the same seat to avoid troubling others.

Questions About Air India’s Service

Chouhan expressed disappointment, stating that he had expected better service from Air India after the Tata Group took over.

While he was not overly concerned about his own discomfort, he criticized the airline for charging passengers full fare while providing faulty and uncomfortable seating.

He questioned whether Air India would take corrective steps to improve passenger experience or continue to take advantage of travelers’ need to reach their destinations.
