UIDAI to launch e-Aadhaar App for easy Updates

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is making it easier for people to update their Aadhaar details with the launch of a new mobile application called the e-Aadhaar App.

This upcoming app will simplify the process of making small changes—like updating your name, address, date of birth, or mobile number—without needing to visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra or submit multiple physical documents.

Everything will be done digitally, making the process faster and more convenient.

According to reports, the app is expected to launch by the end of 2025 and will be available for both Android and iOS users.

A Faster and Smarter Aadhaar Update Process

The e-Aadhaar app will connect directly to verified government databases.

This means that supporting documents—such as passports, driving licences, and birth certificates—can be validated automatically.

This integration will reduce manual verification, helping users update their information more quickly and securely while lowering the chances of data errors and fraud.
