Uber has introduced a new ride service called Uber for Teens, designed specifically for teenagers aged 13 to 17.
This service aims to provide a safe and reliable way for teens to travel. Parents can create a “Teens Account” to keep track of their child’s ride, make bookings on their behalf, and view ride details.
Currently, Uber is offering this service in select cities. Here are the details:
Uber’s new service, Uber for Teens, allows teenagers to book rides safely. The service is currently available in 37 cities, including Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, and Chennai.
It comes with helpful features such as GPS tracking, real-time ride tracking, and an in-app emergency button.
These tools help ensure that parents can send their kids on rides with peace of mind.
Prabhjeet Singh, Uber’s President of India and South Asia, mentioned that the company understands the challenges faced by both parents and teens during rides.
Uber for Teens was launched to address these concerns, providing a service that is both safe and convenient for young passengers.

Of these, 72% expressed concerns about their kids’ safety during rides, while 63% said they would prefer a service like this for extracurricular activities or sports. Additionally, 61% of parents want this service for school and coaching trips.
