TVS has introduced its third electric scooter, TVS Orbiter, in the Indian market after the iQube Range and TVS X.
The scooter has been launched at an ex-showroom price of ₹99,990. It comes in seven premium color options and carries a modern design.Design and Performance
The design of the TVS Orbiter looks futuristic, featuring a large LED headlight with DRL strip, boxy body panels, a long visor, and a flat single-piece seat.
It is available in six color choices – Neon Sunburst, Stratus Blue, Lunar Gray, Martian Copper, Cosmic Titanium, and Stellar Silver.
Powering the scooter is a 3.1kWh IP-67 rated battery, paired with a 2.1kW hub-mounted motor. TVS claims a driving range of 158 km on a single charge.
The Orbiter offers a top speed of 68 kmph and accelerates from 0–40 kmph in 6.8 seconds.
Compared to the base 2.2kWh iQube (94 km range), the Orbiter provides 64 km more range.
It also comes with two ride modes – Eco and City.
Features and Storage
Despite its affordable pricing, the Orbiter is loaded with features. It has LED lights
and a 5.5-inch color LCD console with turn-by-turn navigation, smartphone connectivity, and SMS/call alerts. The scooter also supports cruise control.
For storage, the Orbiter offers a 34-litre under-seat space, big enough for two half-face helmets.
It also provides a front storage compartment and a 290mm long footboard.
