Toyota launches Signature Editions for Glanza, Hyryder and others

Just like Maruti Suzuki, Toyota has introduced signature editions of several models to boost sales.

These models include the Glanza, Hyryder, Innova Hycross, and Fortuner. Among them, the Glanza is the most affordable car in Toyota’s lineup.

Its signature edition has now arrived at dealerships. To enhance its appeal, Toyota has added features like a dual-tone exterior, a fresh interior theme, and upgraded equipment.

In the Signature Edition of the Toyota Glanza, the design has been updated by painting the top part of the front bumper above the grille.

It also features single-tone alloy wheels and black-finished ORVMs. Signature edition decals are placed on the front quarter panel starting from the A-pillar.

Inside the cabin, there’s an orange color theme with orange leatherette accents on the dashboard, gear selector, door pads, and seat upholstery.

The steering wheel gets a dual-tone leatherette cover. The standout feature is its alloy wheels, which give the car a unique look.

Toyota Glanza Features and Specifications

The company has not made any mechanical changes to the Glanza. In terms of engine powertrain, it comes with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and also has a factory-fitted CNG option.

This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT unit, producing 89bhp of power and 113Nm of peak torque.

In CNG mode, when connected to the manual gearbox, it delivers 76bhp of power and 98.5Nm of torque.

The mileage for the 1.2-liter petrol manual/AMT variant is 22.3 kmpl, while the 1.2-liter petrol + CNG manual variant gives a mileage of 30.61 km/kg.

The Glanza comes with LED projector headlamps, twin LED daytime running lamps, a wide trapezoidal lower grille, sleek and dynamic R17 alloy wheels, and LED tail lamps.

It also features Toyota’s signature front design and advanced technology. These same features are present in the CNG variant as well.

In the Indian market, the Glanza competes directly with the Baleno, Tata Altroz, and Hyundai i20.
