This rule has already come into effect, and notably, two of India’s neighboring countries are on the list.

Countries Affected by the Ban

According to Business Today, the decision was taken due to security, health, and immigration concerns.

As a result, citizens from the following countries will not be able to apply for UAE tourist or work visas:

Sudan

Uganda

This restriction will remain in place until further notice.

No timeline has been announced for reviewing or lifting the ban.

However, it’s important to note that the rule does not affect people who already have valid visas—they can continue to live and work in the UAE legally.

Why Did the UAE Impose the Ban?

While the UAE government has not given a detailed explanation, experts believe the main reason is national security.

The country has taken similar measures in the past whenever such concerns have arisen.
