Why Cosmetic Stores Are a Good Option
Cosmetic products are always in demand, so customers visit regularly. While starting the business requires some investment, over time both income and experience grow.
If there are women in the household, they can also buy products at a lower price, saving money. Additionally, good quality products can be used at home and continue to sell well.
Choosing the Right Location
Location is very important when opening a cosmetic shop. Look at how many shops are nearby and make sure your store is visible to customers.
Manisha noticed that while there were many grocery shops near her home, there were no cosmetic stores. She took this opportunity to open her shop.
In the beginning, sales can be slow, and you may worry about customers. But once the business grows, your customer base depends largely on your behavior and service. Manisha also experienced this initial worry, but it disappeared over time.
Investment and Challenges
Opening a cosmetic shop can be expensive. Costs include shop interiors, products, and other essentials.
Manisha spent around ₹400,000 to start her shop. However, if you want to start smaller, costs can be much lower, starting at around ₹50,000.
Manisha also explains that online marketing has created challenges for cosmetic retailers in recent years, as many people now buy quality products from home. Despite this, the business still does well in smaller towns.
