These Hyundai Cars Are Incredible! Over 30 Lakh Units Sold with Great Safety Features

Hyundai’s i10 series has reached a new sales milestone. The company currently sells three models under the i10 brand: the i10, Grand i10, and Grand i10 NIOS.

Hyundai recently announced that these cars have collectively crossed 33 lakh units in sales.

This includes both domestic sales and exports. Hyundai Motor India confirmed that under the i10 brand, a total of 3.3 million (or 33 lakh) units have been sold so far.

20 Lakh Units Sold in India

Out of the total 33 lakh units, 20 lakh were sold in the Indian market.

The remaining 13 lakh units were exported to over 140 countries, including South Africa, Mexico, Chile, and Peru.

Hyundai said that its export performance from India continues to be strong, contributing significantly to the company’s global reach.

Three Models Under the i10 Brand

The i10 brand has now been around for 18 years. Hyundai currently offers three cars under this brand: the i10, Grand i10, and Grand i10 NIOS.

These cars come with three engine options: a 1.2-liter Kappa petrol with manual transmission, a 1.2-liter Kappa petrol with AMT (automatic), and a 1.2-liter bi-fuel Kappa petrol with CNG.

Every year, Hyundai sells over 1 lakh i10 units in India, showing just how popular the car is.

The i10 was first launched in 2007 with many advanced features for its time, including dual airbags, ABS, and keyless entry.

Features Offered in the Latest i10 Models

The latest models under the i10 brand come with many upgraded features.

Standard safety features now include 6 airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), 3-point seatbelts, and seatbelt reminders.

In addition, these cars also offer features like a tyre pressure monitoring system, highline display, electronic stability control, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), cruise control, wireless phone charging, an 8-inch infotainment display, and support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
