Credit card users now have better payment options through third-party apps.
Leading banks like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Punjab National Bank (PNB) have integrated their systems with the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS).
This integration allows users to conveniently pay their credit card bills using these apps.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) mandated that all credit card payments must go through BBPS starting from July 1.
Despite this directive, some banks are yet to activate BBPS for credit card bill payments via third-party apps.
Fifteen banks have currently enabled bill payments through BBPS, including ICICI Bank, SBI Cards, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bank of Baroda Cards, and IndusInd Bank.
Out of the 34 banks authorized to issue credit cards, the following list shows the banks live on BBPS as of July 15.
