Tata Punch SUV Gets Updates with New Features and Variants

Tata Motors has introduced several updates to its Punch SUV, particularly to the petrol model.

The company has also expanded the range of CNG variants and added new features to some of the mid and high-spec trims.

Let’s take a closer look at the changes, including the price range of the updated Tata Punch model.

Changes in Price and Variants of Tata Punch

Tata Motors has simplified the lineup for both petrol and CNG variants of the Punch SUV.

The base variant now starts at Rs 6.13 lakh, while the price of the top-spec trim has been reduced by around Rs 20,000, bringing it to Rs 10.20 lakh.

Additionally, the company is offering limited-time benefits of up to Rs 18,000 on the SUV.

However, trims like Pure Rhythm, Accomplished, Accomplished SR, and Creative Flagship will no longer be available in the new model.

Increase in Price of CNG Variants

The number of CNG-powered variants has increased from five to seven.

The CNG range now includes Pure, Adventure, and Adventure Rhythm trims, similar to the petrol variants.

Mid and top-spec variants have also seen an increase in numbers. The price of the top-spec CNG variant has gone up by around Rs 5,000.

New Features and Trim Changes

The Pure (O) petrol variant now offers features like central locking, power windows, power ORVMs, and wheel covers, which are upgrades from the base Pure trim.

The Adventure S and Adventure + S variants now include a sunroof and rear AC vents. Accomplished +

and higher trims come with a larger 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, while the Creative + and Creative + S trims get a wireless charger.

New Color Options for Tata Punch

Tata Motors has also updated the color options for the Punch SUV. The Pure variants are now available in Orcus White and Daytona Grey.

Adventure and Adventure Rhythm variants will get the Tropical Mist color, while the Adventure trims with a sunroof will also offer the Calypso Red shade.

The Accomplished variants now come in Meteor Bronze, and the Creative variants feature five dual-tone color options.

The Tornado Blue color has replaced Meteor Bronze in the mid-spec variants.

Competition and Pricing

Despite the updates, Tata Punch retains its mechanical and design elements.

It competes with other vehicles like the Hyundai Exter (Rs 6-10.43 lakh), Citroen C3 (Rs 6.16-9.42 lakh), and Maruti Ignis (Rs 5.84-8.06 lakh) in the market.
