Tata Motors has officially launched the Nexon EV, featuring a substantial 45 kWh battery pack, with prices starting at ₹13.99 lakh and going up to ₹16.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new model includes a Red Dark Edition, priced at ₹20,000 more than the standard variants.
Impressive Range and Features
The Nexon EV is offered in several variants: Creative, Fearless, Empowered, and Empowered+.
According to Tata Motors, this new battery pack provides an impressive range of approximately 489 kilometers on a single charge.
Key features include a panoramic sunroof, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging technology, allowing users to power other devices and electric vehicles directly from the car’s battery.
Fast Charging Capabilities
The Nexon EV can charge from 10% to 80% in about 40 minutes when using a 60 kW fast charger.
This aligns with Tata Motors’ recent partnership with Shell to expand EV charging infrastructure across the country, with plans to install charging stations at Shell fuel stations.
Growing EV Market Presence
The demand for electric vehicles (EVs) has surged in recent years, with Tata Motors leading the market in EV sales.
The company utilizes both its own Tata Power’s charging stations and third-party networks, boasting over 8,000 EV charging points nationwide.
Additionally, Tata Motors has collaborated with Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) to set up charging stations at approximately 5,000 fuel pumps by the end of the year, enhancing accessibility for EV users.
