Festival special trains will start from October 1 as Northern Railway adds reserved services on several important routes to handle the expected passenger rush during the festive season.
The additional trains will connect Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, West Bengal, Maharashtra and other destinations.
Festival Special Trains Start From October 1
The New Delhi-Supaul special will operate daily from October 1 to November 28, while its return service will run from October 3 to November 30.
Together, the two services will provide 118 trips in the New Delhi-Supaul direction and the corresponding return service.
Anand Vihar Terminal-Bhagalpur trains will also run daily from October 10 to November 25, with the return service operating from October 11 to November 26. The pair will make 94 trips.
The New Delhi-Howrah special will run on Fridays from October 2 to November 27, while the Howrah-New Delhi service will operate on Sundays from October 4 to November 29. The pair will provide 18 trips.
More Special Trains From Rishikesh and Amritsar
Passengers travelling from Rishikesh will get additional services to Muzaffarpur and Kolkata.
The Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Muzaffarpur pair will operate on Sundays and Thursdays from October 1 to November 29, with the return service running on Mondays and Fridays until November 30.
The Rishikesh-Kolkata special will operate on Fridays from October 16 to November 20, with the return service running on Sundays from October 18 to November 22.
Amritsar will also get additional festival services to Kolkata and Barauni.
The Amritsar-Kolkata pair will run between October 7 and November 28, while the Amritsar-Barauni service will operate from October 4 to December 1, depending on the direction.
Mumbai-Bound Festival Trains Added
Passengers travelling towards Mumbai will have additional options from Sultanpur and Varanasi to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus.
Both the Sultanpur-LTT and Varanasi-LTT pairs will make eight trips in each direction during October and November.
The services will pass through several important stations, including Lucknow, Kanpur, Orai, Jhansi, Bina, Itarsi, Rani Kamlapati, Nashik Road, Kalyan, Igatpuri and Thane.
The Varanasi service will also have stoppages at Sultanpur and Jaunpur City.
Existing Special Trains Also Extended
Northern Railway has also extended four existing special train services.
The New Delhi-Danapur service will continue until November 20 and the return service until November 21, with eight additional trips in each direction.
Similarly, the Ranchi-Anand Vihar Terminal special will run until November 28, while the return service will continue until November 29. Nine additional trips have been added in each direction.
