Samsung Galaxy S26 Price has increased by ₹12,000 for both storage variants in India. According to a Moneycontrol report, the new prices will come into effect from September 20, 2026.
The Galaxy S26 was earlier launched with a starting price of ₹87,999. After the price hike, the starting price has reached ₹99,999, bringing Samsung’s compact flagship close to the ₹1 lakh price segment.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Price Increased by ₹12,000
The 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant was earlier priced at ₹87,999. It will now cost ₹99,999 after the ₹12,000 increase.
The 12GB RAM with 512GB storage variant was priced at ₹1,07,999. Its new price has increased to ₹1,19,999.
The revised prices will be applicable from September 20, 2026. Customers looking to buy the phone at the earlier price should check the available stock and current pricing before the new prices take effect.
Galaxy S26 Gets 6.3-Inch AMOLED Display
The Samsung Galaxy S26 features a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The display has a reported peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits.
For photography, the phone has a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP OIS primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
Galaxy S26 Features and Specifications
The Galaxy S26 comes with a 4,300mAh battery and supports 25W wired and wireless charging. The Indian model is powered by the Exynos 2600 processor and comes with 12GB of RAM.
Samsung has also added Galaxy AI features to the S26 series. The phone comes with an IP68 rating for protection against dust and water, along with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and an Armor Aluminum frame.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Price Now Near iPhone 17
After the price increase, the Galaxy S26 is now priced almost the same as Apple’s iPhone 17. The iPhone 17 starts at ₹99,900, while the new starting price of the Galaxy S26 is ₹99,999.
This leaves a difference of only ₹99 between the starting prices of the two smartphones.
