Submit Your Life Certificate Online via Mobile: Easy Steps Explained

The Government of India has made it easier for pensioners to submit their life certificates online.

Introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 10, 2014, the Jeevan Pramaan Patra (Life Certificate) ensures that retirees can continue receiving their pension without hassle.

With the new digital process, pensioners no longer need to visit banks or post offices to submit their life certificates.

EPFO Guide for Submitting Digital Life Certificates

The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has shared a simple process for submitting a digital life certificate.

You only need a mobile phone with a 5 MP front camera, internet access, and a registered Aadhaar number.

How to Submit a Life Certificate via Mobile

Follow these steps to submit your life certificate from your mobile:

Download the App: Download the Jeevan Pramaan Face App and Aadhaar Face RD Application from the Google Play Store.

Scan Your Face: Use these apps to scan your face and fill in the required details.

Take a Photo: Capture a photo using your mobile’s front camera and complete the submission process.

Once you’ve followed these steps, your life certificate will be successfully submitted without the need to visit a bank or post office.

Rising Adoption of Digital Life Certificates

Government data shows that there are approximately 78 lakh pensioners in India.

In the financial year 2023-24, over 6.6 lakh pensioners submitted their digital life certificates, a massive increase from 2.1 lakh in 2022-23.

This reflects a 200% year-on-year growth in the use of digital certificates.

However, those who prefer the traditional method can still submit their life certificates at a Common Service Center (CSC) or a Government Office.

By adopting this digital process, pensioners can now submit their life certificates from the comfort of their homes, making the experience much more convenient.
