To handle the heavy rush of passengers during the summer season, Indian Railways has taken an important step.
New special trains have been announced on busy routes to make travel easier and more comfortable.
Special Train Between Kolkata and Rishikesh
A summer special train will run between Kolkata and Rishikesh, which is a popular destination for tourists and spiritual travelers.
Train number 04312 (Yoga Nagari Rishikesh–Kolkata Special) will depart from Rishikesh every Friday from April 17 to July 10, 2026, at 10:20 PM.
It will reach Kolkata at 8:00 AM on the third day.
On the return journey, train number 04311 (Kolkata–Yoga Nagari Rishikesh Special) will leave Kolkata every Sunday from April 19 to July 12, 2026, at 1:55 PM.
It will reach Rishikesh at 11:30 PM the next day.
Both trains will run 13 trips each during this period.
Bhagalpur–Gandhidham Special Service Continues
The railway has also decided to continue the special train service between Bhagalpur and Gandhidham.
Train number 09451 (Gandhidham–Bhagalpur Special) will run every Friday from May 15 to June 26, 2026, completing 7 trips.
Train number 09452 (Bhagalpur–Gandhidham Special) will depart every Monday from May 18 to June 29, 2026, also making 7 trips.
Relief for Summer Travelers
According to railway officials, these special trains will bring major relief to passengers during the busy summer months.
People traveling between states like Uttarakhand, West Bengal, and Bihar are expected to benefit the most, as these routes usually see heavy crowd during holidays.
