If South Korea has always been on your travel wish list, this is the right time to plan your trip.

The South Korean government has announced a major relief for Indian tourists by extending the visa fee waiver till June 2026.

This move makes travelling to Korea easier, cheaper, and more attractive for group travellers from India.

No Visa Processing Fee Till June 2026

Indian tourists travelling to South Korea in groups will not have to pay any visa processing fee until June 30, 2026.

The South Korean government has extended the group visa fee waiver for another six months, which was earlier set to expire soon.

This decision is part of Korea’s effort to boost tourism and attract more foreign visitors in the new year.

Who Can Avail This Benefit?

The visa fee waiver applies to the C-3-2 Short-Term Group Visa category.

If you are planning to travel with friends, family, or as part of an organised group, you can save the visa processing fee completely.

The fee usually costs around 18,000 won, which is roughly ₹1,100 to ₹1,200 per person.

Along with India, tourists from China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Cambodia are also eligible for this exemption.

Why South Korea Took This Step

South Korea is witnessing a strong tourism revival.

According to official data, nearly 1.6 million foreign tourists visited the country in November alone.

This is a 17 percent rise compared to last year and almost 10 percent higher than pre-COVID levels in 2019.

While tourists from China and Japan form a major share, visitors from emerging markets like India are increasing rapidly due to better flight connectivity and relaxed travel rules.

A Budget-Friendly Chance for Indian Travellers

With no visa fee and growing travel options, South Korea has become a great international destination for Indian tourists.

Whether you love K-pop, K-dramas, food, or culture, this visa waiver offers a perfect opportunity to explore Korea without extra paperwork costs.

For Indians planning an overseas trip on a budget, this extension is a timely and valuable travel advantage.
