Skoda Auto India has increased the price of its flagship SUV, the Kodiaq. The new prices are effective immediately, meaning buyers will now have to pay more depending on the variant they choose.
The price hike goes up to ₹53,267. Despite this increase, the base variant ‘Lounge’ still starts at ₹39.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The ‘Sportline’ variant has become ₹22,600 more expensive and now costs ₹43.99 lakh. Meanwhile, the top-end ‘L&K’ variant has seen the biggest jump of ₹53,267 and is now priced at ₹46.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Engine, Performance and Mileage
The Skoda Kodiaq offers a strong mix of performance and comfort. It is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 201 bhp power and 320 Nm torque.
This engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox and a 4×4 all-wheel-drive system. This setup ensures smooth driving in both city traffic and rough terrains.
The SUV delivers a mileage of around 14.86 km/l, which is decent for a vehicle in this segment.
Bigger Size, Better Comfort
The new generation Kodiaq has become longer by 61mm. This increase directly improves cabin space, especially for passengers in the second and third rows.
As a result, long journeys are now more comfortable for families.
The SUV also comes with ‘Simply Clever’ features like large door bins, a double-sided boot mat, and sliding second-row seats. On the outside, it gets stylish elements like C-shaped LED tail lamps, roof rails, an illuminated grille, and new 18-inch alloy wheels.
Premium Features and Strong Competition
Inside the cabin, the Kodiaq now feels more premium and tech-loaded. It features a large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a 10-inch digital driver display.
Other highlights include three-zone climate control and a 360-degree camera. The top variant also offers heated, ventilated, and memory-enabled front seats.
In India, the Kodiaq competes with popular SUVs like Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, and Volkswagen Tiguan.
