Simple Energy has launched its next-generation electric scooter, the Simple One Gen 2, in India.

The introductory ex-showroom price starts at ₹1.39 lakh. Along with this, the company has also unveiled a new scooter called the Simple Ultra.

The Simple Ultra comes with a 6.5 kWh battery pack and offers an IDC-certified range of 400 km, making it the first electric scooter in India to achieve such a long range.

It can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.77 seconds. However, Simple Energy has not shared more details about this model yet.

With this long range, the Ultra will compete with premium electric scooters from Ola, Bajaj, TVS, and Ather Energy.

The Simple One Gen 2 features sharper styling and updated body graphics. It also gets redesigned rear-view mirrors.

Under the body, the scooter now uses a reworked chassis, which is claimed to be 22% more rigid and laterally stiffer. This helps improve stability and rider confidence at higher speeds.

The scooter is available in three new colours:

Sonic Red

Asphalt X

Simple Energy is offering a lifetime warranty on the battery and motor for all its scooters. The battery structure has been strengthened, and a new tyre compound has been introduced to improve stability at high speeds.

The suspension has been retuned for better comfort, the seat height has been lowered by 16 mm, and the seat has been redesigned to improve comfort on long rides.

The Simple One Gen 2 runs on the new Simple OS, which offers several software-based features. Safety features include Drop Safe, which prevents the scooter from moving if it falls,

and Super Hold, which helps during hill climbs. Other features include parking mode and real-time vehicle status monitoring.

The scooter gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster with auto brightness, Bluetooth connectivity, and a non-touch interface.

Storage varies by variant, with higher trims offering up to 8GB of internal memory. Under-seat storage capacity is 35 litres.

Additional features include a USB charging port, flat floorboard, integrated glovebox, and guide-me-home lighting.

Connected features are available through the Simple Connect app, which supports theft alerts, tow alerts, geofencing, and remote monitoring.
