If you are a State Bank of India (SBI) customer, you might face some minor issues while using net banking every day.
However, there is no need to worry, as this is not caused by any technical error in the bank’s system.
A short disruption of about three to four minutes may happen daily between 4:45 am and 5:45 am. This is because the bank is upgrading its system during this time.
Temporary Interruption Due to System Upgrade
SBI has apologized for the trouble caused and mentioned that this upgrade is being done to enhance the customer experience. Like other banks, SBI regularly updates its software and security systems.
These updates are carried out early in the morning when fewer people are using banking services, so most customers are not affected.
To reduce problems for users, SBI has shared some important tips:
Every SBI customer must change their profile password once every 365 days.
The password used for OTP-based login should be changed every 180 days.
Customers can use the lock/unlock option to keep their accounts safe and in control.
When setting a profile password, make sure to include letters, special symbols, and numbers.
If you forget your password, click on the ‘Forgot Password’ link and fill in the required details. You will then be able to reset it easily.
If you forget your username while using internet banking, you can either contact your bank branch or reset it using the SBI website.
SBI also allows users to change their password whenever they want. The bank advises customers to change their passwords regularly to keep their account details secure.
