If you use State Bank of India (SBI) for UPI, IMPS, YONO, internet banking, NEFT, or RTGS, you should know about an important update.
SBI has announced that several of its digital services will remain unavailable for a short time on November 16, 2025, due to system maintenance.
The bank has also apologized for the inconvenience.
When Will the Services Be Down?
SBI will temporarily suspend major services like UPI, IMPS, YONO app, internet banking, NEFT, and RTGS from 1:10 AM to 2:45 AM.
This means customers will not be able to make online payments or transfers for 95 minutes.
All services are expected to resume by 2:45 AM.
ATM Services Also Affected
ATM services will also be down between 1:10 AM and 2:10 AM.
During this hour, customers will not be able to withdraw cash or complete other ATM transactions.
However, SBI has advised that small payments can still be made through UPI Lite, which will continue working during the maintenance window.
What Is UPI Lite?
UPI Lite is a simplified version of UPI that allows quick payments without entering a UPI PIN.
It is designed for small, everyday transactions and works even when bank servers are busy.
How to Activate UPI Lite
Open your UPI app (Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay, or BHIM).
Tap on Activate UPI Lite.
Select the bank account you want to link.
Enter the amount you want to add to the UPI Lite wallet.
