Sandur Manganese to consider Bonus Shares on August 8

Shares of Sandur Manganese and Iron Ore Limited were in the spotlight during Tuesday’s trading session.

The stock jumped 6% to reach ₹476.45, following news related to a bonus share announcement.

The company has informed that it will consider a proposal to issue bonus shares on Friday, August 8.

If approved, this will be the second time in the last 12 months that the company has planned to issue bonus shares.

What Has the Company Announced?

Sandur Manganese, which produces ferrosilicon, ferro manganese, pig iron, and silica manganese, will meet on August 8 to discuss issuing bonus shares to existing shareholders.

In 2024, the company had already issued a 5:1 bonus, meaning shareholders received five bonus shares for every one share held on the record date.

However, the record date for the upcoming bonus issue has not been declared yet.

Dividend History and Share Performance

Apart from the bonus shares, Sandur Manganese also declared a final dividend of ₹1 per share in 2024. In previous years, it paid ₹5 per share as dividends in both 2022

and 2023. The 2024 bonus was the first time the company issued free shares to its investors.

On Tuesday, the stock closed 5.8% higher at ₹474.7, and it has seen a 13% rise so far in 2025.
