One UI 8: New Features To Expect

One UI 8 brings several AI-powered features with Google Gemini, offering context-aware assistance that reduces the need to switch apps by handling tasks automatically.

The system adapts to daily usage patterns, providing reminders, shortcuts, and personalized suggestions.

Popular AI tools like Generative Edits and Chat Assist, first introduced on the Galaxy S25 series, are now coming to older Galaxy models.

Samsung has also improved Now Bar and Now Brief, which can now display live updates from more apps.

Another highlight is the redesigned split-screen mode. Instead of a fixed 50:50 layout, users can now drag one app mostly off-screen, giving more room to the primary app while keeping the secondary one accessible.
