Samsung has officially started releasing its new operating system, One UI 8, which is based on Android 16.
This update comes with advanced multimodal AI features, a user experience optimized for different device types, and personalized suggestions to support users’ daily routines.
The rollout will begin with the Galaxy S25 series, and later expand to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, and Galaxy S24 FE.
Samsung confirmed that other eligible Galaxy models will also receive the update by the end of this year.
Key Features of One UI 8
Context Recognition & Suggestions: One UI 8 can understand user context and provide personalized, proactive suggestions.
Now Bar: Shows real-time app activity and media progress on the Galaxy Z Flip’s FlexWindow, with support for more third-party apps.
