Samsung Innovation Campus to Train 20,000 Indian Students in Tech Skills

Samsung is expanding its Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) in India to train 20,000 students in 2025. The program supports India’s Digital India and Skill India initiatives by teaching future-ready skills.

Expansion from 4 to 10 States

This year, the program will grow from 4 states to 10 states, reaching more students across India.

The training will focus on technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Coding & Programming.

Technical and Soft Skills Training

Students will receive both technical training and soft skills development to prepare them for the workplace. Those who qualify will also get help finding jobs in related industries.

Samsung’s Commitment

JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, said the program aligns with the government’s goals and aims to give youth opportunities for the digital economy. Samsung wants to include underserved communities in this growth.

Partnerships to Reach More Students

Samsung signed agreements with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) and Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC).

ESSCI will train 10,000 students in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and West Bengal. TSSC will train another 10,000 in Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Maharashtra.

Focus on Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu

Special attention will be given to Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, with 5,000 students from each state set to receive training.

Reaching Urban and Semi-Urban Areas

The initiative aims to make future-tech skills accessible to both urban and semi-urban areas, ensuring underserved communities benefit from India’s digital progress.

Implementation and Past Success

ESSCI and TSSC, both approved by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), will run the program through their certified partners and centers.

Since launching in 2022, Samsung Innovation Campus has trained 6,500 students so far.
