Samsung has recently announced the discontinuation of support for three of its Galaxy handsets: the Galaxy A51 5G, Galaxy A41,
and Galaxy M01. This means that these phones will no longer receive updates, including security patches.
Update Status of the Discontinued Models
Galaxy A51 5G: Launched in April 2020 with Android 10, currently running Android 13.
Galaxy A41: Released in May 2020, also launched with Android 10. It has been receiving security updates and is eligible for an upgrade to Android 12.
Galaxy M01: Debuted in June 2020 with Android 10. Like the A41, it has received an update to Android 12 from its original operating system.
Considerations for Users
If you own any of these phones, it’s advisable to retire them due to the cessation of support. However, if you’re looking to replace your device with a new Samsung phone, the Galaxy A55 is a viable option.
