Royal Enfield launches First Electric Bike Flying Flea C6 in India

Royal Enfield has officially entered the electric vehicle market with its first electric bike, the Flying Flea C6. The bike is priced at ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

However, with the Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) option, the starting price comes down to ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

This launch marks an important milestone for the company and signals the beginning of many more electric bikes in the future.

Range, Performance and Battery

The Flying Flea C6 is powered by a 15.4 kW (20 hp) PMSM electric motor paired with a 3.91 kWh battery.

In terms of performance, the bike can go from 0 to 60 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 115 km/h. It offers a claimed IDC range of 154 km on a single charge.

Charging is also quite practical. The onboard charger can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in around 65 minutes, making it suitable for daily city use.

Smart Features for City Riders

Royal Enfield has added several modern features to make this bike ideal for urban riders.

All-LED lighting

Google-based navigation

Wireless phone charging

Cornering ABS and traction control

Ride modes like Sport and Individual

In Individual mode, riders can adjust settings like traction control, ABS, and throttle response as per their preference.

Unique Design and Lightweight Build

The Flying Flea C6 comes with a compact and eye-catching design inspired by the brand’s vintage Flying Flea model.

It features:

Exposed frame

Girder-type front suspension

Floating seat design

Removable pillion seat

The battery is placed inside an aluminum casing, which improves both cooling and aerodynamics while giving the bike a distinct look.

Weighing just 124 kg, this is the lightest bike ever made by Royal Enfield.

Advanced Technology and Connectivity

This electric bike is packed with modern tech features. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G connectivity.

Other highlights include:

Remote monitoring

Over-the-air (OTA) updates

These features ensure that the bike stays updated with new improvements over time.

Built In-House with Global Recognition

The Flying Flea C6 was fully developed at the company’s Flying Flea Tech Center. More than 200 engineers from India

and the UK worked on this project, and over 45 patents have already been filed.

The bike has also received international recognition by winning the Red Dot Award 2025.

A New Chapter for Royal Enfield

According to B. Govindarajan, this launch represents a new chapter for the company as it completes 125 years.

He highlighted that the Flying Flea C6 is not just an electric bike, but part of a bigger vision to transform urban mobility by combining design, technology, and riding experience.

What’s Next?

Royal Enfield has confirmed that more electric two-wheelers will be launched under the Flying Flea brand in the coming years.

With the Flying Flea C6, the company aims to build a strong identity in the growing EV market while blending its rich legacy with modern, eco-friendly mobility solutions.
