River EV has launched the Indie Gen 3, the upgraded version of its popular electric scooter.
Priced at around ₹1.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Bangalore), the scooter now comes with several new features that make it easier to use and more advanced than before.
What’s New in the Indie Gen 3?
To improve the riding experience, the scooter now has better tires for improved grip and a new display that clearly shows range and charging details.
The app connectivity has also been upgraded, allowing riders to track:
Riding statistics
Real-time charging status
Customized data
Another new feature is hill-hold assist, which helps in controlling the scooter on slopes.
The company also fine-tuned the scooter’s riding dynamics based on rider feedback.
Some highlights remain unchanged, such as:
43-liter under-seat storage (biggest in its segment)
12-liter glove box
Five color options with black contrast highlights

The performance of the Indie Gen 3 remains the same as the previous model:

River’s Expansion Plans
The Indie Gen 3 was launched at River’s first Delhi store in Rajouri Garden, which will act as the hub for North India.
Currently, River has 34 outlets across cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi, Coimbatore, Patna, and Hubli.
The company aims to expand to 80 showrooms by March 2026, with new stores planned in Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat
