Tech company Realme has launched its new 5G smartphone, the Realme C85 5G, in India. Although placed in the budget segment, the phone offers features that give it a premium feel.
It will go on sale in the first week of December and will be available on e-commerce platforms as well as the company’s official website.
One of its key highlights is the large 7000mAh battery, designed for long-lasting performance.
The base variant of the Realme C85 5G (4GB RAM + 128GB storage) is priced at ₹14,999, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs ₹16,499.
The first sale will begin on December 1 at 12 PM. Buyers can choose between Parrot Purple and Peacock Green, and purchase the phone from Flipkart or Realme’s website.
Display, Design, and Performance
The Realme C85 5G comes with a 6.8-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution (720×1570 pixels).
It offers a 144Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits peak brightness, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
The screen is protected by Corning Glass and has a 90.4% screen-to-body ratio. For color accuracy, it supports 100% sRGB, 83% DCI-P3, and 16.7 million colors.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
It includes up to 6GB RAM and 12GB Dynamic RAM, along with 128GB internal storage.
The company claims the phone can handle 17 apps simultaneously. To control heat, it uses a 5,300 sq mm vapor chamber cooling system.
Camera, Connectivity, and Battery
The phone features a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary camera on the rear, capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.
On the front, it has an 8MP camera that also supports 1080p video recording.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi, and a multi-navigation system supporting GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, and QZSS.
The device includes several sensors such as a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, color temperature sensor, e-compass, accelerometer, and gyroscope.
The phone also carries an IP69 rating, making it resistant to dust and water.
The Realme C85 5G is equipped with a 7000mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC charging support.
According to the company, it delivers 22 hours of video playback, 50 hours of calling, and 145 hours of music playback on a single charge.
The device weighs 215 grams and has a thickness of 8.38mm.
