You can use it just like cash — simply scan or tap a QR code to complete your payment.
Your money is stored safely in a digital wallet, making it easy to use anytime and anywhere.

What is the Digital Rupee?

The Digital Rupee (e₹) is India’s Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) — a digital version of the Indian rupee.

It works just like the cash in your wallet, except it exists in digital form.
You can even use it offline, without internet, by storing it in your digital wallet.

Unlike regular online payments, you don’t need to access your bank account for every transaction.

You can download the digital rupee app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, register, and start making payments to any person or business.
