Ayodhya is already gearing up for the grand celebrations of Ram Navami, which will take place on April 6.
The Ram Navami fair will start on March 30, and the city is expecting over 50 lakh devotees during this period.
However, with the increasing number of visitors, finding accommodation is becoming a challenge.
90% of Hotels and Dharamshalas Booked
The demand for accommodation in Ayodhya is extremely high, with 90% of hotels and dharamshalas already booked. Only 10% of the bookings remain open for late arrivals.
As a result, many devotees are looking for alternative accommodation options such as home stays, temples, and ashrams. This has made it difficult for many to find a place to stay.
Daily Visitors to Ram Lalla
Around 2.5 to 3 lakh people are visiting Ram Lalla in the Ram temple daily. Local BJP city president Kamlesh Srivastava mentioned that around 70,000-80,000 people are arriving in Ayodhya each day.
This surge is expected to continue, with more than 50 lakh devotees anticipated to visit during the 9-day-long Ram Navami celebrations.
Many of these visitors are coming with their families after children’s exams are over, and many inquiries about room availability are coming from southern states.
Devotees Await Surya Tilak Ceremony
This year, devotees are especially excited about the permanent arrangement for the Surya Tilak ceremony.
On Ram Navami, at exactly noon, the rays of the sun will fall on Ram Lalla’s forehead.
This unique arrangement has been developed by scientists from the Roorkee-based Central Building Research Institute, and it is expected to be a highlight of the celebrations.
Ram Navami Programs
The 9-day celebration will include Ram Katha, Ramnam Sankirtan, Nav Prayan, and Havan at various temples in Ayodhya.
The city is fully prepared for these events, which will further enhance the festive atmosphere.
With the city decorated and a large number of devotees expected, Ayodhya is all set for a grand and spiritual Ram Navami celebration.
