Raksha Bandhan Special Trains Announced for Jabalpur and Kota

Raksha Bandhan Special Trains have been announced by the Indian Railways to help passengers travel during the festive rush. Two special train services will run between Jabalpur and Hazrat Nizamuddin,

and between Kota and Hazrat Nizamuddin, offering additional seats for travellers from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.

The special services have been introduced to manage the heavy passenger demand around Raksha Bandhan and provide a more convenient travel option.

Raksha Bandhan Special Trains

Train No. 01701 will depart from Jabalpur on August 29, 2026, at 8:20 pm and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 2:25 pm the following day.

On the return journey, Train No. 01702 will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin on August 30 at 3:45 pm and arrive in Jabalpur at 9:30 am the next day.

The train will stop at Katni Murwara, Damoh, Sagar, Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi, Gwalior, Dholpur, Agra Cantt, Mathura and Kosi Kalan. It will include Second AC, Third AC, Third AC Economy, Sleeper and General class coaches.

Kota to Hazrat Nizamuddin Special Train

Railways will also operate Train No. 09803 from Kota to Hazrat Nizamuddin on August 22, 24 and 26, 2026.

The train will depart Kota at 10:15 pm and arrive at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 7:00 am the next morning.

It will halt at Indergarh Sumerganj Mandi, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Shri Mahavirji, Hindaun City, Bayana, Bharatpur and Mathura.

Its return service, Train No. 09804, will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin at 9:00 am on August 23, 25 and 27 and reach Kota at 7:35 pm the same day.

Passengers can choose from First AC, Second AC, Third AC, Third AC Economy, Sleeper and General class coaches.

Railway Advisory for Passengers

Passengers are advised to check the latest train timings, stoppages and running status before starting their journey.

The Railways has recommended using the RailMadad helpline 139, the NTES app or the railway enquiry service for the latest travel updates.
