Monsoon activity is picking up in Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon trough line has moved north of its usual position and is currently passing through Jammu and Chandigarh.
Additionally, a circulation system has formed over south-western Rajasthan, which could influence upcoming rainfall.
Rain Forecast for Eastern and Western Rajasthan
In the next few days, light to moderate rain is likely in some areas of eastern Rajasthan.
On 22–23 July, some places in south-eastern and north-eastern Rajasthan may experience moderate to heavy rainfall. People in these regions are advised to stay alert.
In western Rajasthan, especially in the Jodhpur division, there may be light to moderate rain today. However, in the next 4–5 days, only isolated light rain is expected in this region.
Heavy Rain Expected Again by Month-End
Another round of rain is expected to begin in eastern Rajasthan around 27–28 July.
During this time, heavy rainfall may occur in several areas, which could lead to waterlogging in low-lying regions.
