Monsoon rains are ongoing across the country. Many parts of North, East, Northeast, South, West, and Central India are expected to receive heavy rainfall this week.
The Meteorological Department has issued warnings for specific regions:
Gujarat: Heavy rains expected for the next 3 days. Very heavy rainfall may occur in Saurashtra and Kutch on 6th and 7th September.
Uttarakhand and Rajasthan: Very heavy rain likely at some places till 8th September.
Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh: Heavy rain expected on 5th and 10th September.
Uttar Pradesh: Rain expected on 9th September.

Rajasthan: Heavy rains may occur in eastern and western parts on 5th, 6th, and 7th September, accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha: Heavy rainfall expected on 5th and 6th September.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal, Sikkim: Heavy rains likely on 6th and 7th September.
Bihar: Rain expected between 8th and 10th September.
Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura: Heavy rains may continue from 5th to 7th September.
Arunachal Pradesh: Very heavy rainfall likely at some places from 6th to 10th September.
Tamil Nadu: Heavy rains expected on 8th and 9th September.
Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema: Strong winds may blow during the next 5 days.
