Affordable Travel Designed for Long-Distance Passengers

Launched as part of the Amrit Kaal initiative, Amrit Bharat Express trains are mainly designed for long-distance travelers in non-AC sleeper class.

Since December 2023, 30 Amrit Bharat Express trains have been running across India.

With these 9 new trains, the total number will increase to 39 trains, connecting regions that are often isolated due to geography or limited transport options.

A Boon for Migrant Workers

These new trains will expand rail connectivity from the eastern and sub-Himalayan regions to southern, western, and central India.

They are especially beneficial for migrant laborers, students, and long-distance travelers from Assam, Bihar, and West Bengal, offering reliable, affordable,

and comfortable travel for employment, education, or family visits. The trains will also be valuable during festive seasons and peak migration periods.
