Rail connectivity in Rajasthan to improve with 3 new trains

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Banswara, Rajasthan on Thursday, where he inaugurated several development projects worth ₹1.22 lakh crore.

As part of his visit, he also gifted three new trains to the state, including two Vande Bharat Express trains.

The trains launched are:

Bikaner–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express

Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express

Udaipur City–Chandigarh Express

These trains were flagged off virtually by PM Modi and will be operated by the North Western Railway (NWR) zone.

They are expected to improve rail connectivity in Rajasthan and boost the state’s economy.

Details of the New Trains

 Bikaner–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express

Train Number: 04751

Departure: 2:30 PM from Bikaner

Arrival: 9:05 PM at Delhi Cantt

Stops: Shri Dungargarh, Ratanagarh, Churu, Sadulpur, Loharu, Mahendragarh, Gurugram

Coaches: 7 AC Chair Cars + 1 Executive AC Chair Car

Frequency: 6 days a week (except Wednesday)

Service starts: September 28

Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express

Train Number: 04861

Departure: 2:30 PM from Jodhpur

Arrival at Jaipur: 7:05 PM, departs again at 7:10 PM

Final Arrival: 11:10 PM at Delhi Cantt

Stops: Medwa Road, Degana, Makrana, Phulera, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, Gurugram

Coaches: 7 AC Chair Cars + 1 Executive Chair Car

Frequency: 6 days a week (except Tuesday)

Service starts: September 27

 Udaipur City–Chandigarh Express

Train Numbers: 09671 (Udaipur–Chandigarh) and 09672 (Chandigarh–Udaipur)

09671 Departure: 2:30 PM from Udaipur City, Arrival: 9:25 PM at Jaipur, departs again at 9:35 PM, and reaches 8:15 AM next day at Chandigarh

09672 Departure: 11:20 AM from Chandigarh, Arrival: 9:15 PM at Jaipur, departs again at 9:25 PM, and reaches 5:25 AM next day at Udaipur City

Stops: Ranapratapnagar, Mavli, Kapasan, Chandariya, Bhilwara, Bijainagar, Ajmer, Kishanganj, Phulera, Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Dausa, Bandikui, Rajgarh, Alwar, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Jind, Narwana, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt

Coaches: 22 in total (2 Second AC, 6 Third AC, 2 Third AC Economy, 6 Sleeper, 4 General, 1 Power Car, 1 Guard Van)

 With these launches, Rajasthan gets better connectivity to Delhi and Chandigarh, which will help both passengers and the state’s economic growth.
