It comes with the strongest curved AMOLED display in its segment and offers powerful performance. The company is also giving big discounts during the first sale.
The smartphone features a 6.77-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3200 nits peak brightness. It is powered by a Snapdragon 6 series chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM.
The phone also comes with IP65 + IP66 ratings, making it resistant to dust and water. It has a dual rear camera setup as well.
POCO M8 5G Price, Sale Date, and Offers
The POCO M8 5G price in India starts at ₹21,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version is priced at ₹22,999, while the top variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage costs ₹24,999.
However, customers buying the phone within the first 12 hours of sale can get it at a starting price of just ₹15,999. The first sale will begin on January 13 via Flipkart.
The phone will be available in Carbon Black, Glacial Blue, and Frost Silver color options.
Display, Software, and Durability
The POCO M8 5G is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs on HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. The company claims that the phone will receive four years of OS updates and six years of security updates.
It features a 6.77-inch (1080 × 2392 pixels) 3D curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and support for 68.7 billion colors.
The display also supports Wet Touch 2.0, allowing users to operate the phone even with wet fingers. POCO claims it is the most durable 3D curved display in its segment.
Powerful Performance and RAM Options
For performance, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 octa-core chipset, built on a 4nm process, with a peak clock speed of 2.4GHz.
It includes an Adreno GPU, up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage.
According to the company, the phone scored over 8,25,000 points on AnTuTu. The 8GB RAM variant also supports 8GB virtual RAM, allowing total RAM usage of up to 16GB.
Camera Features and Security
The POCO M8 5G comes with a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP Light Fusion 400 sensor.
For selfies and video calls, it has a 20MP front camera. The phone supports 4K video recording as well.
For security, it includes an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The smartphone packs a 5520mAh battery and supports 45W wired fast charging along with 18W wired reverse charging.
POCO claims the battery can deliver over 19 hours of YouTube streaming and more than 18 hours of WhatsApp chatting.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5, and a USB Type-C port. The phone weighs 178 grams
and measures 164 × 75.42 × 7.35 mm. With just 7.35mm thickness, POCO claims it is the slimmest and lightest phone in its segment.

In terms of durability, the phone has passed drop tests up to 1.7 meters, protecting it from accidental falls and free drops.
It comes with SGS MIL-STD-810 military-grade certification, making it resistant to heat, dust, shocks, and other harsh conditions.
The phone also offers anti-drop and scratch protection, ensuring the glass remains scratch-free even after sudden falls. Additionally, the IP65 + IP66 ratings protect the device from dust and water exposure.
