Previously raised from Rs 200 to Rs 300 per cylinder in October, the government’s latest move is expected to incur a total expenditure of Rs 12,000 crore for the financial year 2024-25.

The subsidy will be directly credited to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries, reducing the effective price of domestic LPG to Rs 603 per 14.2 kg cylinder in Delhi.
