To achieve this, the government is providing subsidies for purchasing electric vehicles.
However, before purchasing an electric vehicle, people often wonder about how to charge them.
To address this, the Prime Minister has launched 500 new charging stations across the country.
PM Modi’s big gift
On Sunday, September 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the metro rail project in Pune, Maharashtra.
In addition, the Prime Minister launched EV charging stations and LNG stations to promote green energy.
The Government of India also introduced schemes worth crores of rupees in Pune’s petroleum and natural gas sector.
PM Modi has inaugurated 500 new EV charging stations across the country. The Government of India aims to set up 10,000 EV charging stations by 2025, with a budget of ₹1,500 crore allocated for this purpose.
Additionally, the Prime Minister has opened 20 liquefied natural gas (LNG) stations, including three located in Maharashtra.
Pune got many schemes
Prime Minister Modi has expanded the metro rail project network in Pune by adding 9 new stations.
Additionally, he inaugurated Solapur airport. PM Modi also performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the first girls’ school, Bhidewada Memorial, in honor of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule.
PM Modi also spoke to the people of Pune during the launch of these schemes.
He stated that Pune is progressing rapidly and that the metro should have been introduced earlier.
He praised the double-engine government led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for its good work.
