PM Modi to Release 17th Installment of PM Kisan Scheme: Details and Online Procedures

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Varanasi on June 18, 2024, for the release of the 17th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme.

The Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh government, will oversee the event where over Rs 20,000 crore will be disbursed to more than 9.26 crore beneficiary farmers.

Checking Beneficiary Status Online

To check the status of the 17th installment of PM-Kisan:

  1. Visit the official PM-Kisan portal at pmkisan.gov.in.
  2. Navigate to the ‘Farmers Corner’ section.
  3. Click on ‘Beneficiary Status.’
  4. Enter details like Aadhaar number, bank account number, or mobile number.
  5. Click ‘Get Report’ to view your application status, payment details, and installment information.

Completing eKYC for PM-Kisan Scheme

To complete eKYC for PM-Kisan:

  1. Visit the PM-Kisan portal.
  2. Go to ‘Farmers Corner’ and click on ‘eKYC.’
  3. Enter your Aadhaar details and proceed.
  4. If Aadhaar is linked to your mobile number, enter the OTP received.
  5. Alternatively, visit a Common Service Center (CSC) or local agriculture office with Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and mobile number for offline eKYC.

Registration Process for New Farmers

New farmers can register under PM-Kisan:

  1. Visit pmkisan.gov.in.
  2. Click on ‘New Farmers Registration.’
  3. Fill in required information and click ‘Get OTP.’
  4. Complete the registration form with personal details.
  5. Review and submit the form to receive an acknowledgment/reference number.
  6. Await verification and periodically check registration status on the PM-Kisan portal.
