Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off four new Vande Bharat Express trains on November 8 in his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi (Banaras).
The flag-off ceremony will begin at around 8:15 AM. This launch marks another big step in India’s journey toward building a modern and high-speed rail network.

Banaras–Khajuraho Vande Bharat: Connecting Religious Destinations
This train links some of India’s most important spiritual and cultural centers — Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, and Khajuraho.
Passengers will save about 2 hours and 40 minutes in travel time. Reaching Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will now be faster and more comfortable.
Lucknow–Saharanpur Vande Bharat: Linking Central and Western UP
The Lucknow–Saharanpur route will take about 7 hours and 45 minutes, saving around 1 hour.
It will benefit passengers from Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Bijnor, and Saharanpur, while also improving connections to Haridwar and Rishikesh.
This train will strengthen ties between Central and Western Uttar Pradesh, promoting faster regional development.
Firozpur–Delhi Vande Bharat: Punjab to Delhi in Record Time
This will be the fastest train between Firozpur and Delhi, covering the distance in just 6 hours and 40 minutes. It will provide modern connectivity to Firozpur, Bathinda,
and Patiala, boosting trade, tourism, and employment opportunities, especially in the border regions of Punjab.
Ernakulam–Bengaluru Vande Bharat: South India’s New Growth Corridor
This train connects Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, reducing the Ernakulam–Bengaluru journey to 8 hours and 40 minutes, saving more than 2 hours.
It offers a fast, clean, and comfortable travel option for IT professionals, students, and tourists,
and will enhance opportunities in business, education, and tourism across southern India.
