The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana) provides crucial financial support to farmers across India.
Under this scheme, farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually, split into three installments.
While the 18th installment has already been disbursed, farmers are now awaiting the 19th installment.
However, many farmers may miss out on this installment because they haven’t completed required procedures. Let’s explore the reasons why some farmers might not receive this support.
Aadhar and Bank Account must be Linked
To receive the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana, farmers must link their Aadhar card with their bank account.
If you haven’t linked your Aadhar card and bank account yet, your installment may be halted. To complete the linking, visit your nearest bank branch.
Complete the eKYC Process
To receive the benefits of this scheme, completing eKYC is mandatory. The government has made this requirement to prevent fake beneficiaries from accessing the scheme.
If you haven’t completed your eKYC yet, make sure to do it as soon as possible.
Bhulekh Verification is also Essential
Farmers must also get their land records (Bhulekh) verified to receive the benefits of the scheme.
Without this verification, they will not be eligible for the benefits. To complete this process, visit your local revenue department.
It is important to update accurate information
Farmers can visit the PM Kisan Portal to update their details. If there are any errors or outdated information in your account, correct them right away. Incorrect details can prevent you from receiving the installment benefit.
Government Scrutiny and Data Verification
The government has begun updating the list of beneficiaries for the scheme. The government will ensure that only genuine and eligible farmers benefit from the scheme.
Those who haven’t completed the necessary steps will have their names removed from the list.
