PM Kisan Nidhi’s 17th Installment approved by PM Modi

New Delhi:

Narendra Modi has provided a significant gift to millions of farmers as he takes the oath as Prime Minister.

On Monday, he approved the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana.

This installment will benefit 9.3 crore farmers, with about Rs 20,000 crore being transferred to their accounts.

Details of the Approval

Officials stated that the first file signed by Narendra Modi after taking the oath for his third consecutive term as Prime Minister was related to the release of the 17th installment of PM Kisan Nidhi.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this first decision of the new government shows its commitment to the welfare of farmers.

He expressed that the government aims to continue supporting farmers and the agriculture sector in the future.

Modi said, “Our government is fully committed to farmer welfare. Therefore, it is fitting that the first file signed after taking charge is related to farmer welfare. We plan to do even more work for farmers and the agriculture sector in the coming times.”

Under this central government scheme,

farmers receive a total of Rs 6,000 annually through three installments of Rs 2,000, transferred every four months.

Understanding PM Kisan Yojana

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme provides annual financial assistance of ₹6,000 to farmers.

This amount is distributed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months, directly deposited into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
