CGHS ID Will Now Be Linked to PAN Card
Each CGHS beneficiary will now receive a unique ID linked to their PAN card.
This will solve the issue of multiple files being created for the same person and will also keep medical records organized and clear.
No More Trouble in Making Payments
Now, CGHS fees or contributions can be paid directly through the website: www.cghs.mohfw.gov.in.
This site is connected to Bharat Kosh, so payments are automatically verified. There is no need to get it signed by an official.
Password Update is Necessary
Existing CGHS users must update their password after logging into the new website. This will help in keeping the account safe and secure.
Faster Approval for Medical Equipment
Essential medical machines like oxygen concentrators, CPAP, or BiPAP will now get quicker approvals.
Earlier, the approval process was offline and took several weeks. Now, it’s online and much faster.
All Updates via SMS and Email
Whether you apply for a service, get approval, or make a payment, you will receive every update through SMS and email. This removes the need to visit the office frequently.
New Mobile App Launched
The government has launched a new mobile app called myCGHS 2.0, available on the Google Play Store.
Using this app, you can transfer your card, add dependents, or update details—all from home.
What Else Has Changed?
Now, you can track your CGHS application status online. You will also receive instant receipts for all services.
Additionally, a helpdesk and user guide are available on both the website and app for support.
