OYO founder Ritesh Agarwal is inviting creative name suggestions for OYO’s parent company, currently called Oravel Stays.
This change comes as OYO prepares for its IPO and plans to expand its premium hotel segment with new apps.

OYO’s IPO planning involves top investment banks like ICICI Securities, Axis Capital, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, and Jefferies, meeting SoftBank executives in London this June to finalize the strategy.

Meaning: Derived from Sanskrit, meaning ‘expansion’ or ‘spread’, it conveys growth and global reach, is easy to remember, has a modern, tech-friendly sound, and is not tied to any specific culture or language. The name is broad enough to grow beyond hospitality.
