OpenAI, one of the world’s leading AI companies, has introduced its next-generation artificial intelligence model, GPT-5.2. This update shows that OpenAI is now focused on more than just improving chat features.

The company aims to integrate AI directly into business, office, and professional tasks. The new model is faster than its previous version and can handle complex tasks with greater ease.

A major highlight of GPT-5.2 is its improved performance in real, practical, everyday tasks. Whether it’s creating a company sales presentation, planning a hospital schedule, or preparing office documents, the model now works more reliably. According to internal tests, GPT-5.2 has outperformed competitors, signaling that OpenAI is taking a stronger, more aggressive approach in the ongoing AI race.

Rollout, Access, and New Capabilities

GPT-5.2 is being released in phases. Paid users—ChatGPT Go, Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise—will get access first. Free and Edu users will have to wait longer.

Paid subscribers will also get access to GPT-5.1 for the first three months before it is discontinued. OpenAI’s CEO shared the model card and confirmed that GPT-5.2 has surpassed Google’s Gemini 3 Pro in several benchmarks.

The latest update brings several new features. GPT-5.2 is now optimized to understand long conversations, large documents, and multi-step workflows much better than before.

Older models often missed important details in long texts, but this version responds accurately while keeping the full context in mind.

Its zero-shot abilities have also improved, allowing it to perform tasks correctly even with very little instruction.

The model can also operate external tools such as calendars, spreadsheets, and code runners on its own—automatically completing many tasks instantly.

The Vision capabilities have also become stronger. GPT-5.2 can now interpret product screenshots, technical diagrams, dashboards, and visual reports more deeply.

The responses are clearer, more structured, and more natural in tone. Developers will benefit from the availability of the GPT-5.2 API, which can be integrated into company tools and applications.

Pricing Details

The base GPT-5.2 model costs $1.75 per million input tokens and $14 per million output tokens.

The Pro version—for users who need higher capacity and premium-quality output—costs $15 per million input tokens and $168 per million output tokens.
